Meet The Farmer’s Son
Dan Ringhofer grew up on a farm south of Owatonna, where knowing where your food came from was simply part of life. He went on to earn his stripes in the food industry, working his way from dishwasher at a pizza place to chef in fine dining. His farm roots and years in kitchens shaped the way he approaches food today: know where it comes from, respect the people behind it and make it right.
For years, Dan and an old friend talked about how hard it was to find a truly great burger spot in southern Minnesota, especially one with local roots. They shared a passion for great food and supporting businesses close to home.
The Farmer’s Son Mobile Kitchen is the result: American classics made with purpose, using as many local ingredients as possible. For both of them, buying local isn’t a marketing angle. It’s the point.
